As reported earlier here March 14th 2011 on the PokerCalculatorReport.com blog, "Full Tilt Poker Smacks PokerTableRatings.com" well the power of the second largest poker software site on the planet is now also wreaking havoc over at Sharkscope.com.
Sharkscope has long been an industry leading, go-to website for sit and go statistics for online player statistics allowing searchers to get detailed information about their opponents. In the last couple of years they have also added multi-table tournament information as well. The statistics are compiled in massive databases and display things like buy-in levels, games played, streaks, and especially ROI%.
Now from Sharkscope's own blog "It is with great disappointment that we here at Sharkscope must report that our coverage of FullTilt is currently compromised due to an apparent change in FullTilt's policy regarding data retrieval from their site." Apparently frustration has set in as Sharkscope too has been experiencing major challenges in extracting all kinds of tournament results. Also stated by Sharkscope admin on the blog "the lower stakes coverage has been extremely poor recently. We are continuing to work on the problem and are still optimistic about restoring full coverage; but this may take some time." This would apparently be without the blessing of Full Tilt if it ever gets restored.
Sharkscope's main issues with this latest blocking tactic is that a rival site, OfficialPokerRankings continues to pull in tournament information from Full Tilt. They also claim it is common among high-stakes players to share hand histories, so they feel everyone else should be able to as well. I guess it's a good thing Tom Dwan doesn't play in my 5 buck sit and go tournaments!

Online poker hasn't really been around for too long, maybe a decade or so, but as soon as it was, clever programmers were thinking about designing online poker software tools that could not only produce a winning edge for a player, but stretch the meaning of fair play.
Well the best poker software tools have survived an era of audacious claims made by many fly-by-nighters. Poker software like Poker Tracker, Holdem Manager and Tournament Indicator have achieved real staying and power market share largely due to following the rules set out by online poker rooms such as Full Tilt Poker and Poker Stars, yet they have displayed evidence of creating clear advantages for those who use the tracking software.
